We started our journey at the end of October 2021.
That's when we moved from California to Texas to start the Longhorn Classic One Loft Race.
We had to purchase a property and build a loft to hold 1,500 pigeons.
We finished on schedule and started accepting birds on April 1st, as promised.

"Goodbye California. We're moving to the great State of Texas to start the Longhorn Classic OLR."
We drove in separate vehicles, stopped at the Grand Canyon & Las Vegas, then arrived in Dallas on October 31.

November 1 - 13, 2021
After arriving in Dallas, we spent 2 weeks searching for a property.
On November 13, our offer was accepted a 4-acre property in Alvord.
We tried to christen one of the oak trees to celebrate, but found out oak trees & champagne bottles are both very solid!

January 1 - March 30, 2022
Next we started building the L-shaped loft with 15 sections and 1,800 perches.
We made a 2-hour roundtrip drive from Flower Mound to Alvord every day for 3 months.
Just the 2 of us built the entire loft.
