The 2022 Longhorn Classic course will be a Northwest direction, with the 350-mile Grand Finale being flown from Dalhart, Texas. See map below.
Our philosophy is to challenge the birds but still get them home. We don't want the races to be easy blow-homes. The course should be difficult enough to allow the cream to rise to the top.
We like to keep the birds' speeds at about 1300 - 1500 YPM.
