NEW NORTH COURSE
A more challenging course
In 2025, we are changing the Longhorn Classic course direction. For the first 3 years, we flew a Northwest direction, but in order to have more consistent head winds, we will go North in 2025. Having direct headwinds instead of sidewinds will make our 2025 races more challenging.
The weather in Texas is unpredictable. We do our best to have races that challenge the birds, but still get them home. We try to avoid easy blow-homes. The ideal scenario is a race that allows the cream to rise to the top.
We will do our very best to pick race days that have headwinds, up to 10 mph. This should make for a good, honest race, but not so tough that the birds can't make it home.

SPRINT RACE 1, 150 mi - SUN 11/16 - Oklahoma City, OK
SPRINT RACE 2, 200 mi - TBD - Perry, OK
SPRINT RACE 3, 250 mi - TBD - Braman, OK
GRAND FINALE, 370 mi - TBD - Mentor, KS
