I was introduced to the pigeon sport at a very young age by my father, who was in the U.S. Army Pigeon Service during WW II.
Now at 75, I've been actively involved in the sport for more than 50 years with just a few short breaks.
About 2018, I came across the famous DeRauw-Sablon strain & obtained a couple. After seeing and handling them, I realized they had everything I was looking for in a family of pigeons. Later I was very fortunate to acquire a number of DeRauw-Sablons including several “key” imports from Frank McLaughlin, who is a well-known and very successful flyer and breeder.
I only participate in select One Loft Races and have only entered a small number of my DeRauw-Sablons. They have done very well for me and a few close friends with whom I shared these bloodlines. In the short time I've had them, I've been really pleased with the way these birds are performing against top competition.
