Mike and Nora here - we just returned from a 2-week trip around Northern Italy.
We hit Florence, Volterra, Pisa, Certaldo, San Gimignano, Verona & Venice! Wow
Mike happened to see a flock of pigeons flying around in San Gimignano (Tuscany) & was able to find the loft.
We talked with the breeder, Florin Oproiu. He showed us his 2025 2nd place champion bird in his combine.
Was great to meet him and we are staying in contact with him. So interesting to learn about club flying in Italy!

All good working races that challenged the birds. No blow-homes!
1st Race, 175 mi - 1384 YPM - 285 shipped & 280 returned: 98.6%
2nd Race, 240 mi - 1259 YPM - 278 shipped & 254 returned: 91.4%
3rd Race, 300 mi - 1353 YPM - 252 shipped & 247 returned: 98%
Final Race, 450 mi - 1284 YPM - 243 shipped & 212 returned: 87.2%
Final was over 10 hours on the wing & 50% home on the day!
