2026 YEARLING SERIES
COURSE & RACE DATES
NORTH COURSE
For our first 3 seasons, we flew a Northwest direction which had a lot of side winds. In 2025, we switched to a due North course in order to have more consistent head winds. Having direct headwinds instead of sidewinds made the 2025 races more challenging.
The weather in Texas is unpredictable. We do our best to have races that challenge the birds but still get them home. We try to avoid easy blow-homes. The ideal scenario is a race that allows the cream to rise to the top.
We will do our very best to pick race days that have headwinds, up to 10 mph. This should make for a good, honest race, but not so tough that the birds can't make it home.
